「ホームステイのホストファミリーへの手紙の書き方」

初めてのホームステイは、不安と期待でいっぱいです。

英語が通じるだろうか？

ホストファミリーと仲良くできるだろうか？

2003年に私の長女がオーストラリアにホームステイをした時、ホームステイに行く前にホストファミリーに手紙を書くようにアドバイスしました。

当時は手紙を出しましたが、Eメールアドレスが判っていればメールでもよいので、事前にホストファミリーとコンタクトを取っておくと良いと思います。

しかしどのような手紙を書いたらよいか悩むところです。

長女が書いた手紙は下記のとおりです。

I think you have already known of me but I want to communicate with you before

I am worried about that I won't be able to speak English so well because I
am not good at English.

Can you speak Japanese?

Is there anything you are interested in about Japan?

Are there any rules that I should keep in your house during my stay?

I want to know more of you.

I am happy if I can get a letter or e-mail from you before my departure.

It is rainy season now and it is very sultry in Japan.

I am looking forward to seeing you soon.

And I want to be in good with you during my stay in 〇〇〇.
